Why do Amazon Relay loads disappear so fast?
Guides & Tips
Amazon Relay loads disappear fast because many carriers watch the same lanes, and well-priced loads get booked within seconds of posting. Some carriers run automation that reacts in under a second, while a person needs several seconds to spot a load, click it, and confirm. By the time you refresh manually, the load is often already gone.
Who books the loads before me?
The Amazon Relay load board is first come, first served. When a load that pays well per mile posts out of a busy domicile, you are not the only one looking at it. Owner-operators refresh the board on their phones, dispatchers watch several accounts at once, and some fleets run booking software that reacts the moment a load appears. Whoever clicks first gets it. The loads that sit on the board for ten minutes are usually sitting there because the rate is weak, the stops are heavy, or the deadhead kills the math.
How fast is the competition?
Count what manual booking takes. The load appears, you read the payout and the stops, move your cursor, click Book, then confirm. A quick driver staring at the screen needs a few seconds, and that assumes you happened to refresh at the right moment. Booking automation skips most of that. As a benchmark, the booking strategies in Relay Autobooker Cardamon react in roughly 1000 milliseconds on the Regular setting, about 300 ms on Fast, and 100 to 150 ms on Super Fast. That is the race: a tool answers in a fraction of a second while a human is still reading the rate.
This is also why a load can vanish between two of your own refreshes. If you refresh by hand every 30 seconds, a load can post and get booked inside that window without you ever seeing it.
What can I do when loads keep disappearing?
- Auto-refresh the board for free. The free Smart Refresher re-runs your search at the interval you set, from 10 milliseconds up to 30 seconds, with an option to randomize the timing the way a person would. New loads show up without you tapping Search Loads all day.
- Turn on alerts. Audio and visual alerts fire when new loads appear, so you can fuel up or do paperwork instead of staring at the screen.
- Filter out the loads you would reject anyway (Premium). Set a minimum payout, Max Stops, and Stem Time so the only loads in front of you are ones you would take. Less time reading rejects means faster reactions on the keepers.
- Let the extension book (Premium). Auto-booking with the Regular, Fast, or Super Fast strategies clicks and confirms for you at the speeds above, and it keeps watching the board overnight as long as the browser stays open and the device stays awake.
Cost math: Premium runs $49.99 per month or $499 per year, with a 7-day free trial. If reacting in a few hundred milliseconds instead of a few seconds wins you one extra decent load a month, the subscription has paid for itself. Be realistic, though: no tool catches every load, and you are still racing other carriers and their bots.
