UTM Builder

Privacy policy for UTM Builder

Updated September 17, 2026 · Extension version 1.1.0

Campaign data stays in your browser

UTM Builder, published by Cardamon Inc., builds campaign URLs locally. Destination URLs, campaign parameter values, imported CSV files, generated links, presets, history and campaign packs are not uploaded by the link-building workflows. There are no content scripts, remote executable code or website host permissions.

Permissions and local storage

The tabs permission exposes tab information to the extension. While its side panel is open, UTM Builder uses the active tab’s URL in that panel’s window to prefill the destination and follow navigation. It does not read page content or keep a browsing-history log. Link history contains links you explicitly copy with the builder.

The storage permission saves preferences, presets, up to 200 history entries, up to 30 campaign packs, license state and support state. The shared Cardamon SDK also keeps a random installation identifier and may mirror that identifier in Chrome sync storage to preserve license seats after reinstalling. Campaign data is not placed in sync storage. clipboardWrite is used for explicit copy actions; sidePanel provides the interface.

Pricing, licenses and service requests

The shared Cardamon components contact www.cardamon.org to load pricing and review configuration, activate or periodically recheck a Pro license, recover a key, manage a subscription where applicable and provide support. License requests use a license key and random installation identifier; they do not include the page you are tagging or its campaign values. Checkout opens separately on Cardamon and uses Paddle for payment processing. Payment-card details are handled by the checkout provider, not the extension’s campaign form.

Paywall and review interactions can send aggregate event counters and technical service metadata. These service requests are separate from the optional usage-statistics setting. As with ordinary web requests, the receiving infrastructure processes network information such as IP addresses.

Support and optional statistics

Sending a support message transmits the message, selected category, extension version, a random support token and an optional email address you choose to provide. Do not include confidential campaign URLs unless you want support to receive them. The extension can check for replies while you have a support conversation.

Optional usage statistics are off by default. If enabled under License & preferences, the shared SDK can send allowlisted event names, extension version and a random identifier. It does not attach URLs, page content or campaign values. Turning the setting off clears pending optional events.

Uninstall survey

After removal, Chrome opens Cardamon’s optional UTM Builder feedback page. The URL contains limited installation metadata, such as extension version and install age. It does not contain campaign URLs, CSV contents or your license key. Submitting feedback is optional, and any contact details are provided by you.

Your controls and contact

You can remove individual presets and packs, clear link history, disable optional statistics or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes local campaign data; export the links you need first. Server-side purchase and support records are separate from local data. For questions or requests concerning those records, contact support@cardamon.org. The Cardamon website privacy policy covers website use and payment services.
